The combination of longer days, soothing warm weather and a beautiful sunset was the perfect recipe for a Tuesday evening in town with friends. After a brief conversation over social media, I headed over to pick up a couple of people from home. We then decided on impulse to head to another friend’s house to “abduct” them if they were home, which happily they were. The troop then headed over to Bush Inn for supper before driving into town. Our original plan was to take a walk through the Botanic Gardens, however the lack of lighting and general spooky air of the park dissuaded us. We then instead headed to the Margaret Mahy Playground and wander down New Regents Street before heading home.
