In June I booked a ride on the “Balon de Paris Generali” – a helium weather balloon that takes passengers for a brief sightseeing flight above Paris. Here are two sets of photos, the first taken on my Pentax Me camera with Kodak Gold film, and the second taken on my Olympus digital camera. It is always fascinating to compare the colour, tone and mood of analogue and digital photos; take a look for example at the two photos of the weather balloon’s shadow (and try to ignore the sunbathing man…). The first (on film) expresses the bright warmth of midday summer sun. The second (digital) photo captures more of the detail and texture in the grass. Which is your favourite?
